Certified Nurse Assistant / CNA - Home Health - Hospice Staffing
General Purpose:
To provide personal care and incidental activities of daily living as assigned to clients within their home.We are seeking to fill immediate openings in Dover, Smyrna, and other areas within Kent County.
Essential Functions:
o Assist, perform and train patient/client and family in activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, toileting and elimination and adequate nutritional intake. o Promote safe environment and maintain unobstructed pathways while providing care. o Assist with ambulation, transfers and/or range of motion exercises. o Assist with incidental/instrumental activities of daily living such as shopping, meal preparation, socialization activities, homemaking and maintaining a clean and safe physical environment and medication reminding. o Utilize infection control measures such as universal precautions, hand washing, and personal protective equipment. o Recognize, document and report changes in patient/client condition and safety to supervisor. o Organize self to carry out visits/shifts and tasks. o Attend mandatory Interim HealthCare in-services and provide requested document to keep employee file current. Qualified applicants must:
o Provide current CPR cardo Receive a negative result in TB testo Pass background test
o Provide two professional references
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
o Eighteen (18) years of age or oldero A minimum of one year's experience in hospice, hospital, or nursing home settingo Meets applicable health requirements to provide patient/client care.o Meets the requirements of federal and/or state criminal and abuse background checks where applicable.
